LightBox is similar to the finder in the manner it deals with files. You first specify a single file (or a list of files) by a mouse selection and then choose a command to do an operation on them.
Like the Finder, where each file is represented by an icon, LightBox uses thumbnails to represent files.
With the Tools menu you can:
ΓÇó copy files spread on all your disks to a single target folder.
ΓÇó compress a list of image files to conserve disk space.
ΓÇó delete duplicate image files that waste disk space.
ΓÇó open a file using the application that created it.
ΓÇó temporarily place it on the desktop to work with it.
ΓÇó move it to the trash.
ΓÇó quickly locate a file on your disks or on a network.
